WHAT IS THE PLOT OF GOOD OMENS 2?
In his journal, Neil Gaiman said that the plot of Good Omens 2 is as follows:
As Good Omens continues, we will be back in Soho, and all through time and space, solving a mystery which starts with one of the angels wandering through a Soho street market with no memory of who they might be, on their way to Aziraphale’s bookshop.
(Although our story actually begins about five minutes before anyone had got around to saying “Let there be Light”.)
WHEN & WHERE WILL IT BE SET?
According to the various answer given by Neil Gaiman so far, we know that Good Omens 2 will be set in current times and more precisely in 2023. We already know that some scenes will be set in 1820, in the Victorian era and during the Blitz.
Regarding where it is set, we know that the story will take place in Soho and across time and space.
WHEN & WHERE IS IT FILMED?
Filming for Good Omens 2 started on October 18th and should finish at the end of February/early March.
Most of filming takes place in studios in Bathgate. There has been some on-location filming in the Central Belt of Scotland. For example, some scenes were filmed in Edinburgh, Stirling, Dumbarton, Queensferry, to name but a few.

WHEN WILL IT BE RELEASED?
Good Omens 2 is expected to be released in 2023.
To give you an idea, here is how it went for Series 1: filming started in September 2017 and wrapped in March 2018. It was released in May 2019.
WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT THE MUSIC?
We know that the fantastic David Arnold will be back to compose the soundtrack for Good Omens 2.
We do not know yet whether Queen songs will be used in Series 2.
HOW DOES IT RELATE TO THE SEQUEL PLANNED BY TERRY PRATCHETT & NEIL GAIMAN?
Neil Gaiman addressed this question on Tumblr. In a first answer he said: “Season 2 is its own story, but it is also a bridge between the stories Terry and I plotted, in Season 1 and the hypothetical Season 3.”
In another answer he said: “The sequel discussed was the hypothetical Season 3. Season 2 is how we get from the end of Season 1 to the place where we could start Season 3. And the sequel discussions also influenced Season 1. (You will find no angles in Book 1, for example. I borrowed them from the sequel and put them in earlier.)”
IS THE LOCKDOWN VIDEO CANON?
On Tumblr, in an answer about Series 2, COVID-19 and the lockdown video Neil Gaiman said: “It’s set in 2023. And there have definitely been lockdowns. There are a lot of tourists and people in Soho, some of whom wear face-masks and most of whom don’t.”
As you can see, he neither denies nor confirms anything it’s up to you to think of it as canon or not.
