Filming

Tale from the set (may contain spoilers)

Last week, Good Omens was filming in Inverleith Park and a fan was lucky to be in the area at the time. She was kind enough to share it with us.

She accidentally walked by the set by the duck pond along with other passers-by. A crew member in charge of the extras was kind and allowed them to stay where they were. Our lucky fan was in an area where she would not be in the shot they were currently filming. David Tennant was on set that day so she was lucky to be about 50 metres away from him. There were also two other men in coats (we do not know who they are yet) feeding the ducks/swans in the pond.

The cast and crew was just doing the same take over and over again. The scene was shot from behind David above his shoulder so it is likely to be Crowley’s point of view.

There’s so many things that you never think about when you just watch a show.

A very interesting part is how quick everyone is and how many people are involved for just one shot. When they were done filming the whole place was empty within 5-10 minutes. Our lucky fan pointed out the fact that there were a lot of details that go into the filming of a scene.

She also insisted on the fact David Tennant’s hair was “so so red”. It looks like he really is going all the way!
